Watch me create a little ditty-playing machine using the new Note Blocks in Minecraft Beta 1.2. Great for doorbells :) I was one of the first to upload a video like this and I had no clue what I was doing, so I used excessive amounts of redstone to create delays, so I doubt this would make a good tutorial video. The notes are: CAB♭ C, then jump an octave (12 notes) to the C above it A, then jump an octave (12 notes) to the A above it B♭, then jump an octave (12 notes) to the B♭ above it Check the Note Block page in the Minecraft wiki to figure out how to tune C, A, and B♭ in the octaves. The possibilities are endless! I can’t wait to see what other people do, adding in chords and stuff. Oh man…

Note regarding the audio quality: I just shot some footage of a backyard band and I’m impressed with the audio. Usually when you see footage of live bands, the audio is badly distorted and sounds horrible. But this sounds pretty good, especially considering how small the mic is. That static sound still comes and goes but it’s barely discernible. I’m sure they designed the Vado HD’s mic so people could use it to tape live concerts.
